First, let me say...I love the location of Common Bond Bistro & Bakery on Westheimer. It is in the middle of a very busy neighborhood. I love to see people walking up and down the street enjoying their day!
I had never heard of Common Bond before I stopped by to try it. It's crazy that I hadn't because it is a very popular spot and had a lot of people. After tasting the food, I can understand why. There are a lot of options to choose from if you are hungry. There are different menus for lunch and dinner during the week and a menu for all day brunch on the weekend. There are so many pastries to pick from. Everything in the display case made my mouth water! I didn't know where to start when I was trying to select what I wanted to eat. I could choose from French toast and bacon, Lox Tartine, biscuits and gravy, and shrimp and grits.
This time around I opted to get the Margarita flat bread, which was covered in buffalo mozzarella, pomodoro sauce, and fresh basil. You have the option to add pepperoni for $3 if you choose. There is also a vegetarian option. Also pictured, is the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, which has spicy crisp chicken breast, Brussels sprout slaw, garlic aioli, pickles, all on a pain de mine bun. For dessert, I tried a couple macarons. I got the birthday cake and tiramisu flavors. All of the food was really good. I definitely cleaned my plates(s). Lol!
Because there were so many options, I definitely am going back soon. I loved the vibe of this place! I can see myself going there have a mimosa while I work on my blog or read a book. I would recommend this place to everyone.
